Buttons give high, medium and low fan speeds and off, plus a light button: press and release to switch the light on or off, press and hold to dim or brighten it. A wall mount for the remote is included, and it runs on a CR2430 3V battery. The BTT9 has no reverse button - the fans that came with it reverse with a switch on the fan.

Fits: a fanSync Bluetooth fan-and-downlight receiver, such as the BTR9 (also sold with a remote as the BTCR9 kit). Fanimation included the BTT9, with a fanSync receiver in the fan, on the earlier Xeno (FP6728), Celano v2 (FP8062) and Spitfire (MA6721) - current production of all three ships with the TR500 remote instead. Fanimation's spec sheets also list the BTT9 as an option for the Zonix (FP4650, with the BTR9 receiver), Enigma (FP2120) and Beckwith (FP7964). Fanimation's 2016 catalog shows it included with the myFanimation A1 and C1 motors; later A1/C1 spec sheets name the BTT9R (with reverse) instead.

Uplight and downlight? Use the BTT9U transmitter with the BTR9U receiver, or the BTCR9U kit.

Pairing, per the owner's manuals: set the code with the dip switches under the battery cover, restore power to the fan and, within 30 seconds, press and hold the fan off button for about 1 to 3 seconds - the fan turns off, then on to medium speed to confirm. Each fanSync receiver pairs with up to five transmitters (each with a different dip switch code), and phone pairing through the fanSync app is unlimited. A transmitter can pair to more than one receiver, so Fanimation suggests putting fans more than seven feet apart on separate power switches. You don't need to re-pair after changing the battery. Don't run the fan from a variable (rheostat) wall control or dimmer, and don't store or mount the remote outdoors.

Availability: this model has been discontinued by Fanimation.
