The transmitter mounts in a standard switch box and signals the fan's built-in receiver by radio - powered by an included 23A/12V battery, so only the fan's own supply line gets wired.

Setup, per the instruction sheet: wire the control between the AC supply and the fan's line, restore power, then press SET within 60 seconds - the fan runs through a roughly 5-minute pairing-and-speed-calibration cycle on its own (don't press anything while it programs, and re-run the process if you ever change the blades). A dip switch sets the light circuit to dimmable or on/off-only for CFL bulbs, and the receiver shuts the motor down on blade obstruction or loads over 80 watts.

Related controls: the TW30 (single downlight) and TW40 are its transmitter siblings, and the TR31 handheld covers the same DC fans from the couch.

For installation questions, see the instruction sheet or contact Fanimation Customer Care at 888-567-2055 or techsupport@fanimation.com.

https://lightingandbulbsunlimited.com/products/fanimation-tw42-6-speed-dc-fan-light-wall-remote-control-with-dimming
