Light Bulbs

Kelvin Temperature, or "K" will reference the color of the light (does it appear amber, yellow, white, or blue).

Warm White • 2700K is the LED version of Incandescent bulbs.

Soft White • 3000K is the LED version of Halogen bulbs. This is the most common home colorway these days, and the default to 99% of integrated LED fixtures.

Cool White • 4000K can resemble the color of light when the sun is out, if you want your interior to not feel yellow or blue. Less common, but is slowly becoming more common as 3500K is on the rise.

Natural Light • 5000K may appear cold or blue (this is what Hospitals use). Great for security lighting and garages.

Lumens are the measureme of brightness.

In the old days, we knew that a 100W light bulb was very bright, and used its wattage to judge the brighttness of the bulb. These days, a 100W equivalent in LED is only about 15.5W. 15.5W doesn't sound like much, but since the quality of lightt on LEDs are better, it is actually just as bright, if not more so, than a 100W incandescent.
