WE ARE PROUD TO SAY

We are a UL 1598 Facility

UL 1598 applied to hardwired lighting fixtures that have socketed bases, that are installed in an indoor location (residential or commercial) on branch circuits where the branch maximum voltage does not exceed 600 Volts.

UL certification is crucial in the lighting and electrical industry because it enforces detailed procedures and standards that prioritize safety, reliability, and traceability during refurbishment or manufacturing of fixtures. Any custom-made, vintage, or European fixtures can undergo UL certification if rebuilt, rewired, or custom-built with UL-listed components.

If you're not sure if your item can be UL Certified or not, please text images to 704.602.0150 to inquire

Why Should I UL My Fixture?

Safety

The UL process ensures that products have undergone rigorous electrical and fire safety testing to lower the risk of hazards like fire, electrocution, or mechanical failure. Products that meet UL's standards are considered safe for their intended use and often meet OSHA's requirements for electrical and fire safety.

Creditability

UL marks are recognized world-wide by inspectors and even insurance firms that are insuring your home or office space. UL is a private, global safety company that has been around in 1894, that certifies products, parts, and materials to ensure they meet safety standards, particularly concerning fire and electrical hazards.

Ready for Inspection

The electrical code (the National Electrical Code or NEC, adopted and amended by the state) requires that electrical equipment, including wiring and devices, be "listed and labeled" by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), such as UL, to ensure it meets established safety standards. Building codes and inspectors require UL-listed products because these meet strict safety standards—protecting against fire, shocks, and short circuits—and help ensure regulatory compliance and insurance coverage.
